“As the producer this was one of the most challenging collaborations because I was pushed out of my comfort zone, most of the music I had been making up to that point fell into a funk/soul genre and Chenai was way past that sound and had a vision that would make her stand out.  I ended up tracking a live string section to give the composition a cinematic texture and then had James Gadson lay a groove down to lace with my programmed drums… The outcome was gorgeous … The song just got picked up by KCRW’s Garth Trinidad and has been on rotation for over a week now.  The official release is this Friday. “
