I’ve been a big fan of LeyeT since ‘Don’t Make Me Cry’ found its way into my inbox last year. Her new single is another step forward, ‘Drip Drop’ is synth-pop in its most impressive form. Plucked guitars, a thumping synth bass and trap drums lay the foundation for LeyeT’s soaring melody. The track really hits its stride once the hook rolls along, an undeniably catchy chorus that gives shades of fellow Angelenos Ella Vos & Exes.
