Australian producer, singer and songwriter Harry Nathan blurs the sonic lines between reality and fantasy. His new single Sweet Vanilla Sky is no exception, a searingly honest exploration of the intricacies of love; bold melodies ring out above a subdued production.
“The song came together quite quickly, as if I was just a vessel for its birth into the universe,” says Harry Nathan. “I kept the production super simple, so that the focus would remain on the lyrics and the melancholy guitar and violin sections. Driving home with a broken heart beneath a thick grey sky, I felt so alone. Breakups are very hard to comprehend, one minute your life revolves around the happiness of another person, the next you are back to figuring it out on your own.”
