The Horn’s debut album People Like Us is jam-packed with unifying anthems

Encapsulating three years of introspective and thought-provoking songwriting, the time has finally arrived for the release of The Horn‘s debut album People Like Us. The album’s overarching theme revolves around the universal human experience, touching on subjects such as coming of age, personal insecurities, and observations on life. Each track reflects the band’s love for music and its power to connect, unite, and evoke shared experiences.

We’re able to revisit so many tracks that we reviewed over the past couple of years. One such standout is their debut single ‘Passion’, which is a nostalgic journey to the impulsive and exhilarating days of youth, serving as a testament to the enduring spirit of adolescence. Equally, ‘Power Show’ is a punchy and energetic anti-authority anthem, displays the band’s willingness to challenge the status quo.

Amidst the rebellion, there’s a call to seize the moment in one of our all-time favourite tracks from the band – ‘Do It Now’. It encourages listeners to live life to the fullest. That track ties into one of the album’s major ideals that encompasses both rebellion and positivity, acknowledging the challenges we face while celebrating the vitality of existence.

You can’t miss focus track ‘Addicted To Love’, a sweet yet morbid track that is described by the band as something that “speaks for itself.” It’s catchy melody and memorable chorus make it a compelling addition to the album’s eclectic mix of songs.

Produced by Danny Monk and Danton Supple, the album is jam-packed with infectious melodies, energetic rock, and a sense of defiance that resonates throughout. The Horn‘s music, characterized by Britpop-infused indie-rock, is present throughout this high-energy and poignant record. It offers reflections on life that listeners have to take away with them.

With a commitment to timeless human experiences and an unwavering spirit, The Horn‘s debut album invites listeners to connect with their music and embrace the essence of being human.
