Brighton quartet The Stanford Family Band has unveiled their highly anticipated debut EP, For Your Listening Pleasure, through Goo Records. Comprising six tracks, serves as a captivating showcase of infectious melodies, musically rich compositions, and whimsical lyricism. Each song navigates a landscape of bittersweet memories, nostalgia, and the warmth of sunlit days. The band’s unique sound palette combines bright piano, vibrant guitar work, and tight boxy soundscapes, providing an enchanting backdrop for their reflective storytelling.
Fronted by multi-talented Elliot Stanford, the band captures a vintage pop aura while infusing it with a fresh indie and garage rock edge. Stanford reflects on the EP: “We wanted to encapsulate everything we are about in this record, from big dramatic arrangements to cheeky country/garage rock beats.
