Riverside Music TV is back with another stellar live session, this time featuring Glasgow’s alt-rock trio, Fatherson. Fresh off a roster of performances from rising stars like Callum Beattie and Rianne Downey, RMTV has pulled Fatherson into the spotlight for an intimate, exclusive showcase. The band, consisting of Ross Leighton (vocals and guitar), Marc Strain (bass), and Greg Walkinshaw (drums), delivers three standout tracks, including the anthemic ‘Making Waves’ from their third album Sum of All Your Parts, the emotionally charged ‘Crying Wolf‘ from their latest project Normal Fears, and their latest single ‘Piece of Mind’.
In this session, Ross also delves into the band’s creative process, sharing insights on their evolving sound: “We’re the best version that this band has ever been… and in six months, we’ll be a better version of that,”
The band’s songwriting dynamic is ever-changing, with ideas often taking shape in spontaneous, high-energy jam sessions. Despite their willingness to experiment with electronic effects and production techniques, Fatherson remains grounded in the pursuit of pure, impactful songwriting.
