Pulsars spearhead a resurgence of synth-punk with digital release of 90s album

After a decades-long hiatus, Pulsars are back with Trilogy, a powerful set of three singles that reignites the band’s unique blend of post-punk and synth-pop. This release feels like a long-awaited chapter being completed, following the band’s abrupt halt in the late ’90s.

With ‘Count Off – Intro’, ‘Wisconsin’, and ‘Tunnel Song’, Pulsars offer a sonic journey through the pair’s signature sound, heavily influenced by eighties icons like The Cure and The Cars, while still retaining a modern edge. The brothers, Dave and Harry Trumfio, showcase their deep knowledge of studio production, adding a sheen that feels both retro and futuristic. Each track in Trilogy offers a different aspect of Pulsars‘ signature sound. There’s a balance between driving, infectious rhythms and warm, melodic synth layers that create anthemic, hook-laden songs.

This release addresses some unfinished business. Pulsars have reignited the spark that made them cult favorites in the ’90s, and Trilogy is a thrilling teaser for the full album to come.
