Like many gig lovers, we’re suffering some serious withdrawal as the UK lockdown enters its second week and with the news festival season has been officially cancelled, and so we’re hankering for anything that closely resembles live music. This is where we recommend the new video for Rye Milligan‘s single ‘Silhouette’.
Throughout the live performance style filming, we watch the London-based producer, musicians, songwriter and singer build this song, piece by piece. Utilising a dynamic duo of drum pad and electric guitar, Milligan creates a joyful, bouncing indie pop-meets-electronica track that you’ll quickly start bopping along to.
We especially love the twist towards the end of this video, in which we see this quiet space in Cardigan Bay interrupted by a raucous stage performance, which shows just how well ‘Silhouette’ does with a real life audience.
With any luck, it won’t be too long until we see such scenes for ourselves again, but for now… Rye Milligan will keep you plenty entertained.
