Providing further proof that we have a soft-spot for Annabel Allum, today we’re very pleased to premiere the indie Londoner’s live session of ‘ordinary life’ at Lunacincos Festival, which was a five-day long festival of online streamed concerts curated by the Association of Independent Music.
Keeping true to the lofi style of Allum‘s music, this easygoing performance lets you enjoy the music as it was written, with our front-woman providing those grunge-rock inspired vocals throughout.
As we’ve said of the single before, ‘ordinary life’ is a song that plaintively expresses a deep hunger for something that resembles pre-covid normality, as far off as that possibility that may have appeared to be at times. As restrictions continue to lift in some parts of the world while lockdowns linger on in others, live sessions are a welcome reminder that our appetite for gigs and festivals in real life will soon be satiated, and while we wait, there’s so much amazing online content just like this to keep us moving ahead.
