Norway’s Tuvaband shares nurturing indie-pop single ‘Full Bloom’

Tonight, the Norwegian artist Tuvaband will be taking to the stage of one of London’s leading independent venues, Paper Dress Vintage, and in celebration of that, we’re featuring her most recent single release ‘Full Bloom’. It’s out first connection with the creative and experimental producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter and we were instantly drawn in by the alluring mystic of her otherworldly sound.

While ‘Full Bloom’ is set within the bounds of indie-pop with its dreamy melodies and light-touch textures, it extends beyond any strict genre limitations. There’s a psychedelic nature to this hazy single, in large part due to the spectral synths. The more aerial tones are grounded by the intricately patterned drum beats which contrast to the more loosely defined melodies. ‘Full Bloom’ is a stunning single which evokes the process if coming into being. There’s a sense of Tuvaband building up to something throughout this carefully composed and sumptuously produced track.

Over recent months, the Norwegian creative has proven herself to be a tender gardener, growing up animated songs like ‘Something Good’ and ‘Rejuvenate’, which symbolises a new phase for Tuvaband. It’s one that will lead into her new album, New Orders, due for release in January 2023.

You can listen to ‘Full Bloom’ in our Shades of Pop and Outsiders Club playlists.
