For those who have never heard of RYTA RAY, who are they, and what is their music about?
Ryta Ray is a Ukrainian singer-songwriter, currently hailing from London and making the most of its vibrant music scene and recording facilities. Ryta Ray is about love.
What has been the most rewarding/ most enjoyable highlight of your career so far?
As a composer, the fact that I have been on mentoring sessions with Guy Chambers was what I needed precisely.
As a producer: I recall a moment when I was working on my live performances project focused on finding new talents, creating the best environment for them with the very best sound quality, and making a live music video for them. When the show started, I was sitting on the lawn near the stage, and I heard the first acoustic guitar chords played by the opening band and the reaction of the 1K crowd before they even started the applause – it was something beyond and above. My element was there for sure.
What have been some major challenges in your music career so far?
My challenge is choosing the right balance between performer, composer, and producer to start being an actual performer.
My first concert with the strings quartet was scheduled for February 24th, 2022, the day Russia invaded Ukraine. It was canceled due to extreme circumstances. I fled Ukraine soon after. And so now I have to start my performer life from scratch in the UK.
Also, the Music Production and Sound Engineering course at the Abbey Road Institute is intense and challenging.
What are you grateful for right now in this moment?
I’m grateful for being able to find joy in my life and for being able to love and be loved.

James Blake – Retrograde and… all of my unfinished/unreleased songs I’m currently working on :))
A playlist you can’t get enough of?
A playlist built in my brain 🙂 I love various music styles, and it’s up to my current mood and vibe what to listen to at a particular moment.
A dream collaboration?
My first dream collaboration with Guy Chambers has just happened, so now I dream of being mentored by Andre Rieu on a couple of my songs and instrumental classical pieces and performing with his unbelievable orchestra.
Lastly, what can fans expect from RYTA RAY this year?
Prepare for my first EP, new singles, and hopefully more music videos.
