Welsh rockers Shop Front Heroes introduce new LP with ‘Killer’

Introducing Shop Front Heroes, an electrifying five-piece rock band from Mid-Wales who are set to ignite the rock music scene, both locally and beyond, with their explosive new single ‘Killer’. It’s taken from their highly anticipated debut album, SuperPowers, which presents the band’s unique blend of rock, pop, classic rock, and alternative styles.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s dive into ‘Killer’, the anthemic rock track that delivers a powerful and captivating experience. Inspired by an old converted barn, ‘Killer’ came to life with a gripping guitar intro, as the band adapted to the constraints of lockdown by exchanging ideas remotely. The result is a rhythmic groove that drives the song and showcases their collective talent.

Vocalist Stevie Yeomans‘ delivers emotive and resonating lyricism, reminiscent of early Foo Fighters with hard-hitting melodies and singalong choruses. The song builds in anticipation, enhanced by a moving string section that adds intimacy to the already gripping composition. Yeomans along with the full band sends a message of hope, reminding listeners that things can always be better with effort and perseverance. The song’s empowering theme encapsulates the band’s pursuit of musical excellence and connection with their audience.

It’s as though they’ve translated their commanding live performances and larger-than-life sound into the recording, which was carried out at the legendary Rockfield Studios. It’s clear that whether Shop Front Heroes are performing commanding live shows or capturing their sound on tape, they always deliver a mesmerizing experience that leaves a lasting impression.
