There’s nothing quite like joining a new band or artist on their journey from the very first track; at the very least you’ll be able to brag to your mates in the pub that you were there first. So with that clout chasing in mind, let us introduce you to Matyas Moricz & The Echoes, the exciting new band emerging from London’s vibrant indie-rock scene. Their debut single ‘Stronger’ instantly caught and held our attention, from the first shimmering guitar flourish to the final echo of its anthemic chorus.
Wrapped in melancholic soul-searching, this debut pulses with a raw vulnerability that relays the introspective lyricism of the outfit’s frontman Matyas Moricz. Gentle and brooding, the verses feel like a solitary walk through a misty cityscape, each note a raindrop reflecting quiet contemplation. By contrast, the chorus erupts with passion and defiance, built around thundering drums and roaring guitars.
‘Stronger’ is undoubtedly a visceral experience that strikes you to your core. It’s a powerful reminder of the strength within; our ability to overcome pain and obstacles with our innate perseverance. It’s truly an impressive debut that requires repeated listens.
If you happen to be in London on 11th February, do head down to the Two Palms in Hackney to catch this promising new band live. Event details here.
