Introducing <3peace. with ethereal alt-pop single ‘ROSE PETAL’

South Carolina-based artist <3peace. is a mysterious new presence in the alt-pop scene and with just two singles currently out in the world, including today’s featured song ‘ROSE PETAL’, this is very much the start of what promises to be an exciting journey. With inspiration rooted in the artist’s personal spirituality, this sonically innovative sophomore track feels both intimate and expansive.

The steadily unfolding ambience reflects its delicate, fragile and fragranced floral namesake, a rose. For <3peace. this symbol of the natural world is a representation of a divine plan, which one can find in flowers, plants, animals, but also in one another. The acoustic guitar melodies, floating vocals and ethereal synth textures add to this idea of celestial meditation. It’s a bright, light and airy atmosphere that could easily dissipate at the slightest touch and it’s that effervescence that portrays a puzzling beauty.

Context is always important and the conditions that ‘ROSE PETAL’ was created in further explains its soul-led lightness. Inspired by the simple joy of a sun-soaked day, <3peace. took that innocent outlook into the studio with mixing in Dolby Atmos, the result is something ascending and intangible. It’s not easy to put abstract concepts into music, but this artist’s capacity as musician, producer and sound engineer enabled them to see this idea through from start to finish.

With its synth-driven mood and forward-thinking production, ‘ROSE PETAL’ is an impressive introduction to the <3peace. project.
