‘Wallflower’ is a piece of polished pop writing encased in a more broad, electronic soundscape. The single is taken from Wills’ upcoming debut album ‘Cigarettes & City Lights’ and showcases a laser sharp focus on emotive content; with Wills’ vocal and lyrics taking centre stage.
“I wanted to just show that every vice – be it cigarettes, alcohol, sex or those little Reese’s Pieces things with the peanut butter – is just a release some sort of chemical in your body that makes you want more.” explains Matt. “We are all addicted to something. I wanted to show the little bit of darkness in something beautiful.”
