‘Taxi’ is Average Joe’s post-heartbreak bluesy ode

Stoke-On-Trent’s Average Joe has become well known for taking the ordinariness of everyday life and transforming that into visceral commentaries, backed by bluesy melodies and flourishes of jazz instrumentals. This time around, Joe takes on the cliché motions of somehow going through the emotional aftermath of a break-up.

As the North West songwriter summaries, ‘Taxi’ is “A post heartbreak ode to alcohol’s soothing nature upon the bruised ego of a British male.”
