Rebecca Phillips creates eerie soundtrack for avant-garde short film INGROWN

Today we’re stepping outside of the bounds of reality and into the dystopian soundscape created by composer and producer Rebecca Phillips for her short film INGROWN.

From the very beginning, this sparse electronic soundtrack sets the listener on edge as we watch the nervous and often frantic journey of a lone woman from the city to countryside. Peppered with spoken word and field recordings, it’s an undeniably eerie listen and watch.

Musically speaking, these sounds really kick off around four minutes into the film, which somehow appear to propel the mysterious protagonist.
