Norway’s Ruben Dawnson follows up ‘FYALMA’ with symbolic video

Not too long ago, we introduced you to the young producer, musician and songwriter Ruben Dawnson with his brilliant anti-anxiety anthem ‘FYALMA’. Now, the Norwegian name has followed up with a music video which envisions the idea of trying to run away from our invisible, mental demons.

Here we see, Dawnson running through the streets of a Norwegian town in a one-shot, which is then interrupted by boxed-in scenes, like memories appearing out of nowhere.

As Ruben Dawnson tells it: “The video builds on the theme of the song and symbolizes the idea of running from something that doesn’t even really exist, maybe even running from yourself in a way, or running from a certain aspect of yourself. It’s confusing and at times distorted, and you can’t seem to get anywhere. The switch up in the end hints at something else further down the line, a hidden message…”

The “hidden message” would appear to be a clip of an upcoming single, the name for which we don’t know, but listening to the dreamy, warped textures, we’re eager to hear the rest soon.
