River Styx is a twenty-year-old, queer singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles and forging their own path through a blend of music and storytelling. That’s what we hear in new track ‘Call Me Anytime’, which is about that feeling when you realise that you’ve fallen hard for someone and that you’d be totally available for them.
“It’s about that feeling you get when you double-text someone you like, and you have that dreaded moment of ‘oh no- I think I’m obsessed with them’.” – River Styx
Against a rose-tinted backdrop of gentle guitar riffs and keyboard chords, Styx’s crisp vocals sound out clearly. They’re not hiding those feels on ‘Call Me Anytime’.
