‘You’re Bad For Me’ is the sugary indie-dance tune from Lemonade Baby

En route from Lemonade Baby‘s earlier release ‘Is It Too Late’, we’ve ventured across new cut ‘You’re Bad For Me’. The Australian artist keeps us on the journey of complicated love and post-club productions in the vein of BAYNK, AlunaGeorge and SG Lewis.

We love to feel-good immediacy of this tune which conveys the blind lust that’s led many of us down a treacherous path before, but we’ll go down that road bopping along to the infectious groove and playful electronica.

Reflecting on the writing process behind this latest work, Lemonade Baby tells us that:

“‘You’re Bad For Me’ started with the piano chords and then I slapped in some drums. I had a vibe down in about 15 mins and by the end of the day I had a backing track done as well. The lyrics were written maybe 3 months later when I had something I wanted to write about. At the time I had some friends go through big breakups and those inspired the concept for the song. It’s kinda about being open with yourself about how someone is bad for you, much like how some would say that sugar is bad for you.”

After consuming the moreish ‘You’re Bad For Me’, we can safely say that this lemonade ‘aint the sugar free kind and we’re here for every musical cavity.
