‘Without You’ is Betty Reed’s empowering rock single

This one is sure to put a pep in your step thanks to the uplifting mix of 90s pop-rock and americana influenced melodies. Of course, we’re talking about ‘Without You’ from the powerful tour-de-force Betty Reed, a graduate of the esteemed Berklee College of Music and now a Nashville resident.

The track is introduced by a cacophony of riotous guitars and rhythm-holding drums, which gives off that joyously chaotic early 90s feeling. Now that you’ve been thoroughly energized, you can fully appreciate the impact of Reed’s potent front-woman vocals. You’ll find yourself singing those cathartic words like, “I’m fine, I’m great, I’m good – baby, without you!”

Speaking about the meaning behind the song, Reed shares that it’s “about prospering in life by breaking free from those who hold you back and then proving them wrong. The song draws from actual experiences in my own life about people who you think would support you, but instead tear you down.”

From start to finish ‘Without You’ is nothing short of an empowering rock anthem, and it’s one that marks an exciting new chapter in the career of this prolific songwriter. There’s no stopping Betty Reed form sky-rocketing success.
