Revel in the autumnal bliss of WILLO’s ‘I Go’

There’s something so quintessentially autumnal about indie-folk music. It’s the perfect soundtrack for long walks amongst the freshly fallen leaves or snuggling up on the sofa with a hot tea and a good book. Adding to our seasonal listening rotation, is a recently released acoustic version of WILLO‘s single ‘I Go’.

Lifted from the WILLO‘s first album Eternal Jetlag, which was released back in January 2022, this stripped-back remake really shows off this pair’s mellifluous harmonies and sensitive songwriting. It’s a confident melange of traditional and modern indie-folk, reminiscent of Ben Howard or James Vincent McMorrow, although with the additional angle of a two-person perspective. ‘I Go’ in particular swims in a lake of crystalized nostalgia and even as the track reaches its inevitable end, we’re tempted to stay in those tranquil waters a little longer and click play again.

You can also listen to ‘I Go’ in our Folk This Way playlist.
