Appearing for the first time on the pages of Unrecorded is Ella Rose Oliveras, a talented newcomer hailing all the way from Ventura, California. Inspired by a varied pop palette of Taylor Swift, Jordan Smith, Audrey Mika and Daniel Caesar, Oliveras hits all those essential pop points in her new single ‘Young Heart’.
Speaking directly from her own experience, ‘Young Heart’ captures those moments when the weight of expectation threatens to dampen down one’s youthful love for life. Some, like this musician, are able to pour out all of that anxiety and concern into creativity, while for others it’s listening to relatable pop music that gets them through those times.
“We’ve all grown up in a world trying to feel whole from the outside in, seeking validation from others and trying our best to meet other people’s expectations. For me, writing this song captured some of the moments I’ve felt that way and reminded myself that the only opinion that should matter is mine. Being free from the need for validation is something super empowering to me, like being a badass, and that’s how I want others to feel while listening to this track,” honestly shares Oliveras.
‘Young Heart’ an earnest piece of songwriting that establishes Ella Rose Oliveras as a self-determined artist in charge of her own destiny.
