I am writing a song at the moment and the lyrics came into my head whilst I was at Loyle Carner’s recent gig at Wembley.
Listening/reading any interesting podcasts, audiobooks or books at the moment? What would you recommend?
Brown Girls do it too is a great podcast that I think everyone should listen to, its all about south asian female empowerment.
What are you currently working on?
I have an EP release gig at The Troubadour on 27th April, it is my first headline gig so I am currently working on finishing some new songs to play.
Go to pizza topping?….*stomach rumbles*
Whatever is spicy to be honest
What are your plans for the rest of the year? Any festivals lined up, live shows, new releases etc?
My main plans are the EP release and gig!
The last song you listened to.. no cheating!
It was actually All to well (10 minute version) – Taylor Swift
Who would be a dream collaborator for you? Let’s manifest it!
It’s a bit different to my music, but I would love to sing on a Flume track
What would you say is your favourite aspect about being an artist?
I enjoy being able to express myself through singing and songwriting, whenever I am going through something it always makes me feel better 🙂
What one piece of advice would you give to an artist just beginning their journey?
I would say the main thing I struggled with was starting to play live and meeting other musicians, but I would say just start small and you will slowly meet lots of people.
Any top tips for getting through difficult times/writers block?
Don’t force it, if you are struggling just take the time to enjoy other things and you will find inspiration from something.
Now the floor is yours RITU, is there anything else you’d like to share/let fans know?
