We’ve been meaning to tip your ears towards Asha Gold‘s recent single release ‘Oscar’ and to our great joy and surprise, we discovered that the UK artist has followed up that sultry R&B track with her debut EP, GOLD01.
Alongside the stunning piece of musical high-drama, there’s previously released singles ‘Debut’ and ‘Passenger’, both of which struck home with contemporary R&B listeners, gaining over 50,000 in total. She’s also received repeated support from BBC Radio 1, Playlist Support from BBC Asian Network, BBC Radio 1 Xtra, BBC Introducing London, Selector Radio, Amazing Radio and the Student Radio Network. Online, Gold has been featured on Colors, Clash Magazine, Earmilk, The Line Of Best Fit, Elevator, Variance, Gal-dem, CloudKid, Get In Her Ears, Stereofox, LIQUID, Fred Perry Subculture, Acid Stag and many more tastemaker spots.
Finishing off the four-track EP is ‘Faith In You’, a sincere piano ballad that showcasing the songwriter at the course of the Asha Gold project. A reminder that behind all the glossy photos, superb confidence and rising streaming numbers, there’s a young rising artist with a natural talent and true passion for her music.
