For those who have never heard of Dady before, who are they and what is their music about?

Dady (rhymes with Lady) is a pop duo composed of two high school frenemies, Rachel Dady and Jesse (rhymes with Messy) O’Connor. Our music is a little alt, a little pop, and hopefully makes you feel kinda nice? 

What has been the most rewarding/ most enjoyable highlight of your career so far?

The day we put out our first single Friends was pretty memorable. We had been working and writing together for so long before we shared anything with the world and it was such a slow process to get to work we were proud of and music that felt true. The day we put out Friends felt like a culmination of a lot of hard work. 

What have been some major challenges in your music career so far?

Juggling our personal relationship with our working relationship  👀

What are you grateful for right now in this moment?

Is it super obvious to say the COVID Vaccine??? 

Physical copies or streaming sites? 

First of all, love how hard of a pivot this question is. Even though Jesse is an engineer for one of these streaming sites, let’s go with physical copies! Jesse got Rach a vinyl of our first single Friends for Christmas and it made her cry.

Rachel: My sister Heather makes the best playlists. Her latest called ‘comme si ‘21’ is so good.

A dream collaboration?

A collaboration with Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria would be truly nuts.
